Make southern Brooklyn more affordable

• Southern Brooklyn families are being squeezed from every direction. Chris will fight to expand affordable healthcare, deliver universal free childcare, cut taxes for working- and middle-class families, provide rebates for seniors on fixed incomes, and support small business startups.

• Fight to lower residential customer bills and not give special deals to large corporate AI Data Centers. 

• Plans to introduce legislation to fix the unfair property tax system for southern Brooklyn homeowners and lower property tax rates.

• Supports codifying the law to guarantee and fully protect earned healthcare benefits for New York City public retirees.

• Advocates for reducing regulatory burdens, providing access to capital, and fostering a supportive business environment.

 

Make our neighborhoods safer, cleaner, and more accessible

• Calls for more control over NYC's mass transit and emergency funding for infrastructure upgrades.Opposes subsidizing Long Island and Westchester and wants tolls collected on NYC bridges to go to NYC transit.

• Supports increasing penalties for motorists with ghost plates, loud mufflers, and reckless driving. Does not support the state’s bail reform laws and wants judges to have more discretion in assigning bail. 

• Will prioritize cracking down on quality of life crimes like retail theft and illegal cannabis shops.

• Champions common-sense gun safety legislation and fully funding red flag laws.

 

Give our children the education and resources they deserve

• Supports increasing funding for mental health professionals and mandating school-based mental health services.

• He also supports efforts to pay teachers fairly, fix Tier 6 retirement benefits, and uphold collective bargaining rights.

• New York is a city of immigrants. We will not stand by while families are terrorized and neighbors are targeted. Chris stands firmly against ICE overreach and will fight to protect immigrant communities, keep families together, and ensure our city remains a safe haven for all.

• Proud ally who will always stand up for the dignity, safety, and full equality of LGBTQ+ New Yorkers. He supports strong anti-discrimination protections, inclusive schools, access to affirming health care, and protecting every person’s right to live openly, safely, and with pride.

• Supports legislation expanding access to reproductive services, empowering providers, and addressing maternal mortality. Stands in contrast with his opponent who received an F rating from Planned Parenthood.

• Supports comprehensive anti-discrimination policies, community dialogue, and increased funding for protecting houses of worship. Advocates for strengthened hate crimes legislation.
